Athletic Trainer Needed for 2015 Hare Goalkeeper Academy Camps

 

Hare Goalkeeper Academy is seeking for an Athletic Trainer to be part of HGA Residential Camps (five-day camps) at The Kiski School, located in Saltsburg, PA (30 miles east of downtown Pittsburgh, PA). Salary will be based on athletic training experience, licenses and other factors. In addition to salary, housing and meals will be provided. However, athletic trainer will be responsible for transportation to camp on the first day and from camp on the last day.

 

We have had to treat minor problems such as scrapes and bruises and severe injuries including various fractures throughout the body to campers needing immediate surgical procedures. Even though the campís main purpose is to enhance each playerís technical, tactical, physical and psychological ability in order to become a successful player, it offers our athletic trainer to practice and develop his / her skills.

 

Each summer we have college students from colleges throughout Pennsylvania and the surrounding states, who use our camp to help them for job network. As a result of Hare Goalkeeper Academyís connections throughout the United States, we have had athletic training interns and professionals obtain jobs at the high school, college, and even professional level. Currently we have HGA Staff members working in the Pittsburgh Public School System, Pennsylvania Public School System, other Public and Private School Systems across Pennsylvania and United States. As you can see our previous staff members have used the friendships and professional contacts made at our camp to open doors to their futures. As an Athletic Trainer, we would like to offer the same opportunity of our past and present Athletic Training Staff members.

 

JOB SUMMARY: To serve as a certified athletic trainer responsible for providing the highest quality health care to participants in the HGA Camps on The Kiski School campus.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide prevention, evaluation and treatment (including emergency care) of injuries and illnesses to participants of HGA Camps. Assist in the registration of camp participants. Perform field preparation and set-up (water, coolers, and emergency medical supplies) prior to camp beginning. Maintain appropriate communications with student athletes and parents / guardians. Perform other duties as assigned. Perform thorough documentation of any injuries or illness that occur during the camp.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor Degree in athletic training is required. National Athletic Trainer's Association Board of Certification (BOC) is required. CPR, AED and First Aid Certification is required. Current and valid diver's license. Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to mentally and physically perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICAITONS: Experience with working collegiate camps and clinics is preferred.

 

Benefits: From $750 - $950 per camp week depending on experience and qualifications. Rooms, meals and staff t-shirt/ polo shirts will be provided.

Camp 1 Session: June 27-July 2, 2015

Camp 2 Session: August 1-6, 2015

Assistant Goalkeeper Coaches Needed for 2015 Summer Camps

 

Hare Goalkeeper Academy is seeking for two Assistant Goalkeeper Coaches, one male and one female to be part of HGA Residential Camps (five-day camps) at The Kiski School, located in Saltsburg, PA (30 miles east of downtown Pittsburgh, PA). Salary will be based on coaching experience, licenses and other factors. In addition to salary, housing and meals will be provided. However, athletic trainer will be responsible for transportation to camp on the first day and from camp on the last day.

 

This position provides support to the Head Coach in planning all phases of a varsity athletic program during the traditional season. This position is directly responsible for coaching goalkeepers and developing their skills. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to: assisting the head coach with practice preparation, plans and group supervision; conducting and coaching practice sessions during the camp; specifically supervising the coaching and development of the groupís goalkeepers.

 

The camps will be held at The Kiski School located in Saltsburg, PA (30 miles east of downtown Pittsburgh, PA). Background in sign language and/or a certification in Water Safety or Lifeguarding are big pluses. Camp Assistants must be experienced in playing soccer and/or coaching experience.

 

Responsibilities: Assist and perform in goalkeeping training sessions for all levels of campers in upcoming fall grades 5-12 and college players. Assistant Goalkeeper Coach will report to the head group coach and Camp Director. The male Assistant Goalkeeper Coach also serves as a Resident Assistant for a group of boys while the female Assistant Goalkeeper Coach does the same for the girls.

 

Minimum Qualifications: Candidate must be at least a college graduate with goalkeeping experience. Teaching experience or coaching with children is preferred. Candidates must have certifications (CPR / First Aid, Youth Sport Concussion and etc), and a valid driver license.

 

Benefits: From $700 to $900 per five-day camp, depending on experience and qualifications. Rooms, meals and staff t-shirt/ polo shirts will be provided for camp staff assistants.
